A Year of Good Tidings

2007 has been a very memorable year.

On March 28th, a little bundle of joy - Brian Ng - was born to my daughter Elaine and son-in-law Michael. On 12th May, my son Edward tied the knot and lovely Shih Ann was added to the family.

December, the Festive Season, brought boundless joy.

On 10th Dec, Edward celebrated his birthday in Singapore. 23rd Dec was (and will always be) a very, very special day. Firstly, Michael celebrated his birthday. Also on this day, Mickey and I, Kok Kong and Josephine (Shih Ann's parents) .. we celebrated our wedding anniversary, as both couples were married on the same day, same year. Michael was also born in the same year we got married. The Lord has His ways of intertwining our lives!

Christmas was great this year. Brian celebrated his first Christmas with us, and it was wonderful having Edward and Shih Ann home for the celebration. Christmas dinner was truly a joyous occasion, as we had the pleasure of having Michael's family members and Shih Ann's family members joining us. Also, my grandson Brian met up with Josephine's grandson TJ for the 1st time during the dinner.

2007 is fast slipping by, and looking forward to 2008.

Just as I typed this, I can hear fireworks in the air ... the clock has struck 12 midnight and 2008 is now at hand.

Happy New Year to all!!! May God bless us all with good health, joy and peace!

Being a wife, a mother, and now a grand-ma, has given me lots of happy and exciting (sometimes too stressful for my poor heart!) moments stacked into my "Memory Bank".

Being a wife ... God's gift for me to have a companion whom I can talk to, nag at, and love unconditionally.

Being a mother ... God's greatest blessings for sending two lovable kids, whom I cherish and will always be there for them whenever they need me. They're no longer kids now and have a family of their own ... a wonderful son-in-law and and an equally great daughter-in-law added to the family. It's good to 'let go' and let them 'fly to their own nests' ... they have their freedom and I have mine!!

Being a grand-ma ... Aha!, here's where the fun begins. I'm learning "Baby Talk" all over again, but don't get me wrong ... I'm NOT into my second childhood, mind you! I get to "gig gig, gag, gag" without a worry that people are staring at me as if I'm senile (and that's a happy feeling). I get to play with toys ... without a hint of 'childish' feeling! I'll certainly get to do lots more of thrilling things (brings back memories of what I got to do when I was yong) as I spend time walking alongside my wonderful grandson, watching him grow day by day. My hobbies these days have been expanded to snapping photos ... mainly of the cute little boy, see above.

Something New

First time entering into "Blog-Space"! Have yet to discover how my 'new surroundings' can enthral me!! I'll have to Stop by more often, and take time to Stare at all the interresting things around.
